An animal....swollen with power it should not have.....has gone far beyond where it should have....and has left behind the roots from whence it came. Roots...man...earth....soul....disenfranchised, cold and listlessly twisting in the wind.....lacking only one small piece in the puzzle.....one small piece to gain control..........for now only dreams of a new beginning with love |

It was around 1 o'clock Friday morning when I had to say goodbye to Zoe....it was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. We both knew this day was coming of course, but we did our very best to avoid it...just pretend like it wasn't there....so the whole thing seemed rather surreal until it just kind of hit....it's very sad to realize that you aren't going to see the one you love everyday. And not just for a day or two but, for three or four months you can not see them because they are gone...far away....on the other side of the country gone.
But it's a really good thing for her to be going to school at NYU. She will thrive there....it's an amazing opportunity and I'm very happy for her. The city, the school, everything there just fits her perfectly.
So Zoe now lives in New York City.....and I am, for the time being, stuck here...and I've never felt more stuck in my life....I don't want to be here, but I can't leave either....I feel trapped. But I'm going to work my hardest at getting to NYC as soon as I can....so I can be with my baby. And due to recent events and rearrangement of my living situations, this may prove to be a more difficult task than it seems....but it doesn't matter...I am determined...and nothing is going to hold me back....because in the end it will all be worth it. But first I must straighten things out here.
In other news...I'm no longer living with Willy. I'm not exactly sure where I'm living right now...well, I have a couple of places....but maybe only temporarily? I dunno.....
Also need to make some more of that money stuff, so if anybody knows of a job opening...let me know
I guess that's about it....I feel too tired to write about anything else anyway....
oh and....Zoe, I love you and I miss you xoxoxo |

A few small things have happened the last couple days that changed my outlook on things....for the better. So today, with my head full of ambition, was the first day of my new life.......and already things aren't quite working out.....but, this I know, is the way of things....so I'm trying not to worry....just heading on.....I need a cigarette..... |

Placebo at the Palace in Hollywood. Their set was amazing....I sang along and danced around and had a smile on my face the whole time. From "Without You I'm Nothing" to "Special K" to their cover of "Where is My Mind?", they were brilliant.........I loved every moment of it. |

Got back from a road trip to seattle and back, complete with stops in portland, olympia, and oakland, and some of the most intense record shopping this side of the mississippi. WE were gone for a little over a week...and it was alot of fun.
In other news...The Zoe is still far away in that big magical land called Europe...and I still miss her to death. But she should be coming home soon....and as rumor has it, maybe even sooner than expected(my fingers remain properly crossed).
Also, look out for a possible Dosage and Usage record out sometime soon featuring a surprise guest singer from the Far East (for a free preview come down to Scolari's Office June 30th!) |

So there I was...ten 'til seven in the morning.....sitting on the bench at the bus stop a few blocks from my house. Now there aren't too many people in this particular area who ride the bus this early in the morning. Just an occasional bum, or community college student too lazy to walk half a mile or so to school. Exercise doesn't fit into their strict daily routine of procrastination, pot smoking, and looking stupid. So when you see someone else...someone who doesn't quite fit into one of those two catagories...it's a little odd. And it just so happened that this morning, this very morning, there was one of those people walking up to the bus stop. "How odd, I thought, "I wonder what he's doing here." He was wearing a purple button up shirt...not dark "look at me! I'm fuckin purple!" purple....but a nice lighter shade of purple, a lavender even.....and the top buttons were undone so his chest kinda showed...and he was wearing well fitting black pants that looked from a distance to be...maybe polyester? This ensemble assured me that this character was not your typical route 41 patron, infact his clothes made me think he hadn't been a typical anything since 1978. Now as if this was not exciting enough, I noticed something even stranger as he awkwardly strutted up the sidewalk....this man....this creature in horribly swanky rags....had a mustache! "Oh yes! This is too good!" A million and one jokes ran through my head as he stepped out those last few feet to the bus stop. Then...there he was. Stopped right in front of me, was the sleaziest looking man I had ever seen at this bus stop...hell, this guy was up there on the all time sleazy list. I could almost smell the grease from his stringy slicked back hair, if it wasn't for the overwhelming stench of Brut swirling all around him. And there...in his dated clothes...with his oily skin shining, and his mustache screaming sex offender....he looked at me with beady eyes and said, "You waitin' for the bus?" And I don't know if it was just the general feisty mood I had been in since I woke up or just the influence of the jokes I had running through my head since I first saw his 'stache...but I quickly replied, "Me? No...I'm just sitting here waiting for the Olsen Twins to turn 18. What's your story?" And then with nothing more than a look of shock followed by a quick glance full of resentment he turned and walked away. And as I watched him shuffle back to wherever it was he came from, his head hung down low...just like a little boy after being caught with his hand in the cookie jar. |
